Parish church of Sümeg

When Márton Padányi Biró became head of the diocese of Veszprém in the middle of the 18th century, he singled out a one-storey building at the foot of the southern slope of Sümeg castle, serving as the episcopal mansion, as the site of his permanent residence. The palace seen today was built gradually over decades. We have prepared the reconstruction models of this process divided into seven phases, which can be seen in the exhibition, which was created between 2018 and 2021 within the framework of the Nemzeti Kastélyprogram és Nemzeti Várprogram.
