Bronze age houses

Excavations have been taking place in the Bronze Age settlement of Borsodivánka-Marhahárás-Nagyhalom since 2015. In the course of this, in 2022, a part of a burnt house was excavated. The remains of the building conserved by the fire provided the opportunity for observations, on the basis of which the interior design of the building and the decoration of the building’s walls became partially reconstructable. Based on the available data, the excavated part of the building is unparalleled in Bronze Age research in the Carpathian Basin, and we prepared the 3D reconstruction models and infographics for its scientific publication.
