In the tracks of a disappeared castle – Archaeological research on the castle hill of Sátoraljaújhely

We have created the short film introducing the research history and story of Castle Újhely for the visitor center established at the foot of the castle hill. The aim of the film is to provide a short and easy to follow research history and historical summary of Újhely Castle to the visitor arriving at the location. We have used aerial and ground video shots created earlier also in our work. We digested the story with the help of our voice over artist Dániel Czéh, the resident archaeologist István Ringer, and the architect responsible for the ruin conservation designs, Tamás Albert. The historical scenes were visualized in animated 2D art illustrations.
