Székesfehérvár in 1205
Székesfehérvár was founded by Géza, Grand Prince of Hungary, but it was Saint Stephen I, who raised it to be a significant city, a secular center of his kingdom, by erecting the royal basilica. Until the defeat at Mohács 34 kings were crowned here, and 15 kings were buried. The coronation of King Andrew II took place in 1205, our reconstruction attempt depicts the city at that time. The theoretical reconstruction of the city was created with the help of Gergely Buzás, the basiclica was created along the work of Zoltán Szabó.l.
