Terra Benedicta – The Blessed Land of the Danube

Sárköz – Terra Benedicta is a 3D animated film, a complex, scientifically based reconstruction inspired by the personal childhood experiences of András Balogh, the CEO of Pazirik Kft. The goal was not to make an educational documentary, but to give a “visual impression” of what the human imagination can barely grasp. The film is based on the 1834 survey, before water regulation, which was used to reconstruct the contemporary landscape, while Anna Varga, Gábor Máté, János Gábor Ódor, Attila Czövek, András K. Németh and Éva Ruzsa helped with their expertise in creating the life images. The film can be viewed on our YouTube channel.

The project included GIS processing, landscape reconstruction, character animations, and a film.
